We first approached TT Architecture in 2002 looking for an architect to design our modernist concept home. Tony stood out from the other architects we spoke to, demonstrating a genuine eagerness for the challenge.
I remember seeing the drawing for the first time. Not realising that the sketch in front of us was actually our design, my heart raced, I felt my skin prickle as I thought to myself “ohh my lord, that’s exactly the house I’d want, if only we could have a place like that”. Then Tony walked in and said, “what do you think?”. I went into shock, unable to believe it was our design! I still get emotional thinking of that moment. It was life changing.
A moderately priced construction, the house went on to win numerous awards (9 or 10) including HIA Country House of the year, MBA Australian House of the year and RAIA.
In 2015 we purchased a property in the Southern Highlands of NSW and decided on a completely different aesthetic; a modern interpretation of an Australian farmhouse. Naturally we engaged TT Architecture, and unsurprisingly, we were again delighted by Tony’s attitude to the project as well as the edgy, timeless design he delivered.
We couldn’t be happier living in our beautiful home, and we highly recommend TT Architecture to anyone wanting a functional, modern place to call their own.
