Mor House

Designed by Peter Overton this house sits at the top of a significant range of hills overlooking Lake George and the Federal Highway as it approaches Canberra.
The house doubles as a primary residence and set up to operate as a future bed and breakfast.

The design was a significant challenge due to the difficulty of resolving the issue of very significant views and conflicting solar orientation. Overton’s successful resolution of competing factors has resulted in not only a well considered environment response but in significant and interesting architectural forms.

This house shows that Architecture and Sustainability are not incompatible on a tight budget.
