TT Architecture Advice - Passive Solar Design Principles

This advice section gives brief summaries of many important principles which are used in designing successful passive solar houses for the cool temperate climates of South-East Australia, including the Eden-Monaro and Canberra regions.

Passive Solar design is, first and foremost, appropriate design for climate, so the principles described below cannot be universally applied to all climate areas around the country.  Significant differences in approach will be necessary for coastal locations, desert locations   and latitudes beyond the northern rivers of NSW.
